Gideon replied, “If now I have found favor in your eyes, give me a sign that it is really you talking to me.” (Judges 6:17)
Do we really recognize the voice of God when we hear it ?
Gideon had a hard time recognizing God’s voice and he tested God three times before he finally believed that God was talking to him.
Today, we do not need to test God. We have the complete Word of God that guides us to the truth. We have the Holy Spirit of God in us that leads us to the truth. We will recognize the voice of God because we belong to God.
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27)
Follow the voice that leads us to eternal life.
