A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.” Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cured. (Mark 1:40-42)
Touched by the man’s faith, Jesus healed the man with leprosy by a mere touch.
We are in many ways like the man, our sin is deeply rooted like leprosy, incurable, and quarantines us away from God. But nothing is impossible with God. When we seek Jesus in our lives He will find us. When we believe and accept Jesus as our Lord and savior we will be made spotlessly clean, healed spiritually, and given eternal life.
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.” (Luke 19:10)
