171228: BLESSED FAMILY

Blessed Family.jpg

“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.” (Psalm 127:3)

A blessed family is purposely made.

Directed by the father who not only provides but more importantly leads the spiritual growth of the family, supported by the mother of noble character, gentle in spirit and endowed with inner beauty and rewarded by loving children nurtured in the fear of the Lord.

The firm foundation of the blessed family is God.

“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1)

Blessings follows the family that has a firm foundation on Jesus Christ and built according to God’s blueprint – the Bible.

171227: IN HIS PRESENCE

In His Presence.jpg

“Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling!” (Psalm 43:3)

When in despair and the enemy threatens the Child of God with depressing thoughts that pull our spirits down, the first thing to do is to seek God thru His word and let the the light and truth of God’s word lead us to be in His presence. Then in His presence we praise God with exceeding joy we worship the Lord.

“Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy, and I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God.”(Psalm 43:4)

When we praise and worship the Lord, our souls are lifted up, the troubling spirit departs for our hope and our salvation is in God.

We claim the victory for we are in Christ.

171226: AND DWELT AMONG US

Dwells.jpg

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)

God became man and dwelt among us.

It was foretold by the prophets, revealed by the angel to Joseph and was realized when Jesus was born.

We welcome the coming year knowing that in Christ, God is with us.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” (2 Cor 5:17).

New doors will be opened.

New opportunities for us to do something great for the Glory of God.

171223: A CHILD OF GOD

Born of God

“She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21)

The angel revealed to Joseph the purpose for the birth of Jesus. To save His people from their sins. And by faith in Jesus we became God’s people.

“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:12-13)

With rejoicing we proclaim what the birth of Jesus Christ truly means to us.

We receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

We are born of God.

171222: THE GIFT

Inexpressible GIFT (2)

“Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!” (2 Corinthians 9:15)

We have received from God the greatest gift of all that is beyond human description. For by His grace He has given us eternal life thru the forgiveness that comes from believing in His Son Jesus Christ.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,” (Ephesians 1:3)

No other gift greater than eternal life with Jesus in the kingdom of God.

171221: THE MESSAGE

The Message

And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. (Luke 1:38)

God sent angel Gabriel to bring the good news to Mary that she will be with child and give birth to a son to be named Jesus. Mary did not doubt God’s message but accepted and fully submitted. She offered no resistance but believed that thou she was a virgin she will be with child by the power of the Holy Spirit. She gave no excuses but gave praises for having found favor with God. And Mary was blessed because she believed that what God said will be accomplished.

God has a message for each of us.

Like Mary, we too will be blessed if we submit and believe God’s word.

“For nothing will be impossible with God.” (Luke 1:37)

171220: GOD SHINES IN US

God's star.jpg

“When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.” (Matthew 2:10)

Wise men from the east came to Jerusalem looking for He that is born King of the Jews. And the star lead them to Bethlehem over the house where the child Jesus was. Are you looking for Jesus ? Don’t look up for a star, bow down and search in your heart instead. For God has sent His Son to be with us – Immanuel.

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.” (John 14:16-17)

God’s star is shining on you.

171219: DEVOTED TO THE WORD AND PRAYER

DawnWatch

“not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,” (Rom 12:12)

A life committed to serving the Lord also means that our life is a target for spiritual battles by the enemy. There will be low days of discouragement as we face trials and testings of various kinds. And sometimes God allows these tribulations to happen to test our faith and refine it like gold.

“But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” (Acts 6:4)

Find joy in the hope that Jesus Christ brings. Keep our trust in God’s promises. Let nothing keep us from our devotion to the Word and Prayer.

171218: A CHILD IS BORN

A Child is Born.jpg

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”(Isa 9:6)

The prophet Isaiah foretells the birth of an extra-ordinary Child. The Son of God. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The Lord of all nations. The Elohim, the creator of all. He will reign thru eternity and brings peace to a world in chaos.

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” (Luke 2:14)

171214: THE PEACE OF GOD WITH US

The Peace of God With us.jpg

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.” (2 Thessalonians 3:16)

Peace consists not in the absence of trouble but in the presence of God.

The source of this peace is God with us.

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7)

The virgin conceived and bore a son called Immanuel – which means, God with us.
