171011: SUCCESS AND PROSPERITY

Blessed.jpg

“Now God had caused the official to show favor and sympathy to Daniel,” (Daniel 1:9)

Even when in bondage and enslaved you can still be blessed. Daniel did not compromise and stood firm in his faith and God blessed him. He prospered and success followed him throughout his life because God was with him. Thou he lived a life enslaved to gentile kings, he more importantly lived a life as a faithful servant of God. Uncompromising, unwavering and righteous.

“So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian.” (Daniel 6:28)

Our success and prosperity comes from God in us.

160412: I will bless you

I will Bless You

“Give careful thought to your ways. You have planted much, but have harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.” (Hag 1:5-6)

The prophet Haggai admonished Israel for failing to prioritize God in their lives. Instead of obeying God’s will to rebuld His temple, they focused first on building their own houses. We need to understand that when we put God first we open the channel for us to experience God’s full blessings in our lives.

“‘From this day on I will bless you.'” (Hag 2:19b)

This is God’s promise to those who are faithful and obedient to God’s will.

160301: True Happiness

“To the man who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.” (Eccl2:26)

True happiness is a gift from God.

There is nothing we can do that can create true happiness. Happiness like wisdom and knowledge is a gift from God. It comes from living a life that pleases God.  That means living a life of Faith for it is impossible to please God without faith.

“Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires; God will satisfy them fully!” (Mat5:6)

160128: Grace Overflow

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.” (2 Cor.9:10)

God’s plan goes beyond the rational mind and logic for the more we give the more we receive. We are able to give because we love God and others. We are able to love unconditionally and give even to strangers in need not on our own abilities and goodness but because we are connected to the unlimited source of love – Jesus.

“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” (v11)

The righteous will always be generous for that is the overflow of God’s grace working through them in their lives. Receive God’s unlimited love and let it overflow unconditionally to your family, your friends, your neighbors, even to the unloveables. That they may all see the love of God in us and give thanks to God for His overflowing gift of grace.

160109: Enduring Faith

“not one of them will ever see the land I promised on oath to their forefathers. No one who has treated me with contempt will ever see it.” (Num 14:23)

God promised Israel a land flowing with milk and honey but when they saw that the land was occupied by people who were stronger and bigger than them they doubted God. None of them believed God except Caleb and Joshua. So for 40 years God made Israel wander in the dessert until all of the faithless generation perished.

Without faith it is impossible to please God.

Faith is not a moment, or an event, but a lifetime.

The kind of faith that pleases God endures.

“You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.” (Heb 10:36)

God will supply all our needs, God’s grace is sufficient for us, overwhelming victory is ours, we have rest, we will live in peace, we have eternal life…

In Jesus mighty name we claim God’s promises.

In Christ we are a blessed generation.

160108: We are blessed

“It was not through law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.” (Rom 4:13)

To claim God’s promise it is absolutely essential that we must have faith. God promised Abraham that all peoples on earth will be blessed thru him.

“If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Gal 3:29)

By our faith in Jesus Christ we receive justification and enjoy spiritual blessings just like Abraham.

Faith activates God’s promises in our lives.

We are blessed.

160103: Living a Blessed Life

The Word of God is very clear on the sure way to a blessed life.

“But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it – he will be blessed in what he does.” (James 1:25)

We start the year right by joyfully seeking to know God thru the bible, by meditating on His word day and night, and more importantly by being doers of the Word.

“He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.” (Ps1:3)

Read the Word. Live it. Pass it on.

Have a blessed life ahead.
