151225: The Salvation of God

“For my eyes have seen your salvation,” (Lk2:30)

We have seen the salvation of God in Jesus Christ.

By God’s grace, He gave us His Son. By the love of Jesus, He died on the cross to save us from our sins. By the power of the Holy Spirit, God is with us today.

May the LOVE, JOY and PEACE of our Lord be always with you and your families.

“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” (Lk2:14) .

Merry CHRISTmas to you and your family – Roy, Pam and GB Osial.

151224: Savior

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”(Luke 2:11)

God loved us so much that He wants all of us to be saved from our sinful nature. Our savior was born over 2000 years ago. In Jesus, we have been made righteous, justified, worthy to be called chidren of God.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”(John 3:16)

God’s greatest gift to mankind is His Son Jesus Christ. Our greatest gift to God is our changed lives that comes from truely accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

151221: The Name above all names.

“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” (Matt 1:21)

The angel revealed to Joseph God’s purpose for the birth of Jesus. To save His people from their sins. And by faith in Jesus we became God’s people:

“Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God”(John 1:12)

With much rejoicing we start our week remembering what an awesome name Jesus is.

” Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Phil 2:9-11)

151220:The WORD fulfilled

“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” (Gen 3:15)

Today, we rejoice and praise God for we know that in the birth of Jesus Christ, God’s WORD was fulfilled.

We exalt the name of Jesus for we have received from God the greatest gift of all that is beyond human description. For by His grace He has given us salvation by our faith in His Son Jesus Christ.

All glory, honor and praise belongs to our God.

151219: Treasures and gifts

“On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.” (Matt 2:11)

When the wise men came, there was no manger, no baby, and no three kings. God’s Word reveals the truth. The wise men traveled a great distance in search of the King and Messiah. And they were led by the star of God’s light to a house in Bethlehem where the child Jesus was. They were overwhelmed with joy, worshiped the King and Messiah, and presented the child Jesus with their treasures and gifts.

Today, we worship Jesus by presenting treasures and gifts of our changed lives that comes from accepting God’s gift of salvation. His Son Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

Glory to God in the highest!

151218: Shepherd Leadership

‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.’ (Matt 2:6)

God in choosing a place where our King and Messiah will be born chose an unknown place. Not in a place of power nor in the capital city but in an obscure little town of Bethlehem. Born in a manger where animals feed. But our God is sovereign  and is in control. For a different kind of ruler was born one that came not to be served but to serve. One who will be a Shepherd to all.

The most powerful leader born in this world was our shepherd and Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.” (Ps 23:1)

When we submit to Jesus’ leadership we will never be in want. Jesus is all we need.

151212: The Joy of seeing Jesus

“After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.” (Mat2:9)

The wise men were gentiles yet they know the good news that the King and savior of the world was born. And they travelled hundreds of miles just to see the child King and worship the messiah. It is not enough that we know the good news. We must seek the source of the good news and worship Him.

“When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.” (v10)

When we seek Jesus, God will light our way. We will find Jesus when we faithfully follow the light of God. And when we see Jesus our hearts will be filled with unspeakable joy and overwhelming peace.

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

151211: Proclaim the Good news

“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” (Mic5:2)

Scripture tells of the coming of Jesus hundreds of years before. The people of Jerusalem knew that the Christ or the Messiah will come from Bethlehem. But none of them were excited of the news that the Christ was born. In fact they were worried and disturbed.

“When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.” (Matt 2:3)

Christmas proclaims the good news that our King and Lord and savior Jesus Christ was born. He died for our sins, is risen, is alive and seats at the right hand of God. And all who call on His name will be saved. Glory to God in the highest.

151205: When our King and Messiah was born…

When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born.” (Matt 2:3-4)

When Jesus was born, Herod,  the King of Israel was worried and disturbed. His heart was full of hate and he wanted to kill the child Jesus. The people of Jerusalem likewise was worried and disturbed and they actually ignored the birth of Jesus. The chief priests and teachers likewise were caught by surprise and have to review when the king of the Jews and messiah is supposed to come. They simply do not have time for Jesus. But some wise men from the east were looking for the child Jesus so that they can worship Him and offer gifts to him.

“On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.” (Matt 2:11-12)

It is a glorious and victorious day to praise and worship our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
