160221: Tears to Joy

“Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.”(Ps 126:5)

The exiles returning to Jerusalem were filled with joy. But this joy later turned into tears when they saw the magnitude of the damage done to Israel and how much work needs to be done to make the fields productive again.

So it is in the field of the Lord. As we go out to long neglected places and share the word of God we are overwhelmed with joy by the opportunity to share the word but filled with sadness as we see the magnitude of spiritual neglect. But this sadness turns to joy knowing that the word of the Lord will not return empty. God promised that His word will yield a harvest.

“He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him.”(v6)

The Word of God that we share will accomplish God’s desire and achieve God’s purpose – Spiritual LIFE to all who believe.

Keep on connecting people to Christ and winning souls to God.

160217: Cry it Out

“You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call to you.” (Ps 86:5)

When trouble comes and we are in despair for we have done our best yet there is just no hope in sight. Consider that maybe the trouble can be traced back to past unrepented sins.

It is in these times that we come to God and sincerely pray and ask for God’s mercy.

“Hear my prayer, O Lord; listen to my cry for mercy. In the day of my trouble I will call to you, for you will answer me.” (v6-5)

Don’t despair. Cry it out to God. God hears the cries of His children and answers the prayers of a repentant heart.
