151231: Our future Hope

“There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.” (Prov 23:18)

As a child of God we have a future hope waiting for us.

The world do not understand this but we do.

It is not what is accomplished on this world that matters but what we have accomplished and stored as treasures in heaven.

“Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.” (1Jn3:2-3)

A blessed new year to you.

151230: A Heart of Wisdom

“Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” (Ps 90:12)

The coming of a new year always reminds us how fast time flies and how short our days are on this earth.

Like the Psalmist we need to make the most of our days. Life comes with both the good and the bad times and we learn much as we go thru each of life’s difficulties, trials and testings in our walk with God. To endure it and learn is the only way we can mature and grow into Christlikeness.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” (James 1:5)

To ask for wisdom pleases God who gives it generously, continuously and cheerfully. Thank you Father God for granting us a heart of wisdom.

151229: Delight yourself in the Lord

“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.” (Ps 37:7)

There is always a time for all things.

Maybe you feel things did not go very well in the past years and it may seem that the sinful are prospering while those of God are suffering.

We cannot be worried or anxious or worse envious. Instead, we put our trust in God who is in control of all things. We hold on to God’s assurance that He hears the prayers of the righteous and answers them.

“Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.” (v4)

Be still, live a life that glorifies God, and proclaim another victorious year in the mighty name of Jesus.

151228: Nothing is Impossible with God

“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.” (Ps 51:10-11)

There is no sin so great that cannot be forgiven when we submit to God with a repentant heart and a broken spirit.

“The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.” (v17 NLT)

We humbly come before God, cry out our sins, and seek forgiveness.

We start a new year with a renewed heart and spirit. Pure and steadfast.

“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matt 19:26)

151227: God’s Love and Faithfulness

“Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.” (Ps 98:1)

Today is a great and glorious day for we remember all the wonderful things our Lord God has done to Israel, to us and to all of mankind. For the power of God is at work in our lives. His love never fails and His faithfulness always endures.

“He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.’ (v3)

All glory, honor and praise belongs to our God.

151226: Move on to greater things

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” (Isa 43:18)

As Israel returns from 70yrs of exile in Babylon, God commanded Israel to move on.

There is no point in dwelling in past sins.

Just like Israel, we may be finally returning to God after a long period of experiencing God’s discipline because of our sins. We are all sinners who experienced God’s forgiveness and love thru Jesus.

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it ? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.” (v19)

We face a new year holding on to God’s promise that something new is coming our way. Something beautiful is growing in us. Changing our ways and transforming us because we accepted God’s greatest gift for us. His Son Jesus Christ.

Stop dwelling in the past.

Move on to new and greater things in Christ.

151225: The Salvation of God

“For my eyes have seen your salvation,” (Lk2:30)

We have seen the salvation of God in Jesus Christ.

By God’s grace, He gave us His Son. By the love of Jesus, He died on the cross to save us from our sins. By the power of the Holy Spirit, God is with us today.

May the LOVE, JOY and PEACE of our Lord be always with you and your families.

“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” (Lk2:14) .

Merry CHRISTmas to you and your family – Roy, Pam and GB Osial.

151224: Savior

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”(Luke 2:11)

God loved us so much that He wants all of us to be saved from our sinful nature. Our savior was born over 2000 years ago. In Jesus, we have been made righteous, justified, worthy to be called chidren of God.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”(John 3:16)

God’s greatest gift to mankind is His Son Jesus Christ. Our greatest gift to God is our changed lives that comes from truely accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

151223: The Good news for all

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.” (Lk2:10-11)

Today we remember the good news and praise God to our utmost. The good news was meant to be proclaimed and shared to all who can hear.

“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” (Jn20:31)

Glory to God in the highest !

151222: It’s all about Worship

“And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord;  be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.”(Lk1:38)

Mary was full of God’s grace.

It was by God’s grace that she was chosen.

And Mary responded with full submission to God’s will.

No IFs and BUTs just LET IT BE.

“To offer our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship”(Rom12:1).

Christmas is all about worship.

The songs, the gifts, the acts of love are directed towards worshiping the King and Messiah, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
